Job Summary
Hybrid AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure (including RDS databases and Route 53 DNS configurations) while collaborating with front-end and back-end teams. Responsibilities include containerizing services with Docker, building infrastructure as code with Terraform, developing backend services in Python and GoLang, integrating APIs with React/TypeScript applications, monitoring performance and security across AWS services, participating in on-call rotations, and contributing to infrastructure strategy. Requires hands-on AWS experience (RDS/Route 53) and proficiency with Kubernetes/container tooling, CI/CD, GitOps, and DevSecOps principles. Hybrid in-office schedule in West Valley City, Utah, with benefits and professional-growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, Route 53, EC2, S3, IAM)
- Proficiency with Docker and container-based deployments
- Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management
- Solid programming experience in Python and/or GoLang for automation/microservices
- Familiarity with React and TypeScript in a full-stack or DevOps-adjacent capacity
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and DevSecOps principles
- Excellent communication skills in a hybrid environment
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps) are a plus
