AWS Cloud Architect

Job Summary
AWS Cloud Architect who designs and evaluates AWS migration strategies for legacy/VM workloads, develops architecture diagrams and migration plans, assesses tradeoffs between cost, scalability, and compliance, collaborates with development and DevOps teams to integrate AWS solutions with CI/CD pipelines, mentors teams implementing AWS infrastructure, and engages with customers and leadership to validate designs and communicate risks. Responsible for documenting and sharing best practices to strengthen cloud adoption across the organization with emphasis on security, compliance, and cross-cloud considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture or senior architect roles
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a related field or equivalent combination of experience
- Experience with AWS architecture, services, and security/compliance frameworks
- Experience migrating workloads from on-premises or VM environments to AWS
- Knowledge of networking, identity management, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with Kubernetes, ECS, and container orchestration
- Experience with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to engage with customers and leadership to validate designs and communicate risks
- Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures (nice to have)
- Experience in security clearances is mentioned as a requirement for some roles (if applicable)
