Job Summary
Design cloud infrastructure using native AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, API Gateway, Aurora, S3, and ECS/EKS. Define infrastructure-as-code standards via AWS CDK/CloudFormation and architect for FedRAMP compliance. Lead Well-Architected reviews, drive cost-optimization, and design networking, security, and multi-environment strategies. Guide capacity planning, resilience, and disaster recovery while supporting integration of Amazon Bedrock and agentic AI services. Work a hybrid schedule (2 days) in Reston, VA and client locations in the Washington D.C. area. Requires AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification and 5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be willing to work a HYBRID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and self-start.
- Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and delivery
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience (CDK/CloudFormation)
- Experience with high-availability, high-volume systems

- FedRAMP experience
- Serverless and event-driven architecture at scale
- Amazon Bedrock / agentic AI experience
