Job Summary

Provides institution-level support for sponsored programs including managing pre-award and award administration, negotiating grants/contracts with federal sponsors, and coordinating with DoP, DoD agencies, and Womack Army Medical Center. Embeds at Fort Bragg with at least two onsite days weekly; liaison across DoP, DHA, and Geneva Foundation; develops and reviews proposals, budgets, and sponsor-required documentation (SF-424, CRADAs, NDAs). Responsible for reviewing and submitting progress reports, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements, and maintaining documentation of award activities. Support includes drafting tailored templates, coordinating startup activities, and providing specialized pre-award and proposal development services. The role emphasizes sound judgment, organization, and attention to detail in deadline-driven environments within military medical research. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of two (2) years' pre-award experience within the grants and contracts arena, and/or contracting experience
  • Experience with administration of awards from various federal sponsors including grants and/or contracts
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively
  • Strong written and oral communication with a high level of customer service
  • Experience managing fixed price, time & materials/labor hour, and cost type contracts (and/or subcontracts) and understanding Government regulations
  • Advanced grammar and technical editing skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office/Excel skills
  • Basic understanding of OMB Regulations, DoDGAR, FAR, and DFARS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of military logistics management and operations preferred
  • Experience communicating with military leadership and civilian contractors preferred
  • Prior experience at Fort Bragg or in military research environments preferred
  • Ability to review and negotiate proposals and provide sponsor-facing communications
