Job Summary
Awake Overnight Teacher/Counselor (Residential Counselor) for adults with ID/DD in Lifeworks residential program. Responsibilities include hands-on direct care (showering, toileting, shaving, meal-time assistance), collaborating with the team to plan and engage in advocacy and support, promoting health care, providing case management, mobility and transfer assistance, incontinence care, meal preparation and life skills coaching, and helping individuals lead more independent lives in the community. Requires being awake for the entire overnight shift and experience with ID/DD; HS diploma; valid driver’s license; background checks. MAP certification is preferred. Location: Norwood, MA; Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
