Job Summary
Direct Support Professional for awake overnight shifts will provide support and assistance to people with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities in daily living activities, offer skills training, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, transport individuals to activities, document progress and maintain safety, while building positive relationships with guardians and stakeholders. The role requires managing medical, clinical and financial needs, administering medications per MAP regulations, maintaining required certifications (e.g., FA/CPR, PABC, MAP), and supporting community integration and independence within residential programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- at least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position OR minimum 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities
- valid US driver''s license with minimum one year of driving experience in the United States
- ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting people with mobility needs
- completion of mandatory training certifications such as FA/CPR, MAP, PABC or willingness to obtain them
