Job Summary
Awake Overnight Direct Care Staff provide overnight supervision and support to Young Parent families residing in the program (Wednesday-Saturday 11pm-9am). Responsibilities include conducting hourly bed checks, documenting logs, transporting Young Parents to appointments, guiding daily living and parenting skills, enforcing program rules, administering the Medical Management Program as instructed by the Program RN, ensuring safety, following procedures, participating in monthly staff meetings and training, and maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries. Requires Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with relevant experience, CPR/First Aid, de-escalation skills, and a MA driver’s license; bilingual Spanish preferred. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with prior related work or volunteer experience OR Associate’s degree with three prior years of experience working with adolescents in a similar environment
- Current CPR and First Aid training certification
- Experience with de-escalation skills
- Must understand and maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work with a varied and occasionally difficult client population
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Bilingual, bicultural, Spanish speaking ability preferred
- A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 10 pounds without assistance
