AVP, Technology Lead - Digital

Job Summary
Shape and align the digital technology strategy across business units to support near-term delivery and long-term modernization objectives. Account for end-to-end delivery of shared digital platforms, including oversight of internal teams, vendors, and system integrators while driving velocity, quality, and reliability improvements. Lead, mentor, and develop technology leaders to foster a collaborative culture, manage sizable technology budgets, and optimize vendor relationships for cost transparency. Ensure application stability, security, and resiliency through robust governance, incident management, and risk controls. Partner with Product, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise leaders to define roadmaps, OKRs, and investment priorities in a complex, high-visibility environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles
- demonstrated success delivering complex, mission-critical digital platforms
- Experience leading modernization and enablement of digital platforms such as identity, web, mobile, integration, or client/advisor experience platforms
- Proven ability to lead technology teams through transformation, platform ownership, and operating model evolution
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing sizable technology budgets, vendor portfolios, and total cost of ownership
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and organizational leadership skills
- Experience in regulated financial services
- depth in digital enablement, engineering excellence, and vendor-heavy delivery environments
- bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written)
- Decisive leader comfortable operating in ambiguity, complexity, and transformation
- Strong technical credibility with the ability to challenge architecture, delivery practices, platform decisions, and CI/CD approaches
