Job Summary

Adult Advocate/Case Manager provides crisis support along with information and referral to helpline callers and shares in shelter responsibilities. Position is specific to weekends, evenings and overnights with 24/7/365 coverage expectations. Major duties include answering the helpline/text line, coordinating with law enforcement for Lethality Assessment safety planning, intake for new residents, assisting residents with shelter expectations, documenting in staff/client logs, reporting maintenance needs, and participating in applicable trainings while aligning with YWCA goals and DEI values. Requires collaboration with a diverse client population and ongoing trauma-informed care delivery; non-exempt full-time role with weekend/evening/overnight hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational training and/or life-experience based knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in collaboration with philosophically and culturally diverse and under-served populations
  • Dependable, non-judgmental, flexible and able to work in a high stress environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, be a creative problem solver
