Job Summary
Senior Data Engineer AVP to lead design and implementation of scalable on-prem and AWS data solutions including Amazon Redshift. Responsibilities include understanding stakeholder data needs, designing scalable fault-tolerant data applications, partnering with architects, data scientists, and product management, and leading a technical team to meet business goals. Responsibilities also include overseeing design, development, testing, and production implementation using on-prem RDBMS, Ab Initio, SQL, and AWS Redshift; promoting automation and best practices within a Scaled Agile framework; and collaborating with product owners, program managers, scrum masters, and team members. Travel may be required. The role emphasizes data warehousing, ETL, cloud technologies (AWS), real-time and batch data pipelines, and collaboration across technology and business stakeholders. Salary range is 100,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus; location options include remote-work near hubs or in-office attendance, with commuting to hubs for in-person activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years technology experience in consumer banking or 6+ years with HS Diploma/GED
- Strong experience with large-scale relational databases and AWS environments
- Experience in ETL, data warehousing, cloud technologies (AWS) and analytics concepts
- Hands-on experience with on-prem RDBMS/data warehouse platforms, Ab Initio (GDE/Co>Operating System), advanced SQL, and AWS including Redshift
- Experience with batch and real-time data pipelines in a DevOps environment
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with globally located Agile teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel for business as required
