Job Summary
AVP, Security responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the security strategy across a multi-state regional retail portfolio, ensuring safety of employees, visitors, customers, and assets while supporting operational, financial, and reputational objectives. Lead regional physical security strategies, policies, standards, and procedures; oversee emergency preparedness, investigations, and compliance; manage vendor relationships and security technology; coordinate crisis response, disaster recovery, workplace violence prevention, and critical incidents; collaborate with senior leadership, property management, retailers, and external law enforcement; deliver training and security communications; promote safety culture and maintain threat awareness across West Region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in physical security or a related discipline
- Experience overseeing enterprise security, risk management, and/or facilities operations within a complex, multi-site organization
- Broad knowledge of security operations including law enforcement practices, investigations, and incident management
- Proven track record leading crisis response, emergency management, and high-impact investigations
- Ability to influence and partner with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and external agencies
- Strong executive presence, sound judgment, and ability to lead in high-pressure, high-risk environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise systems; strong digital and data fluency
- Flexible and responsive leadership with on-call availability
