AVP, Sales Training Specialist

Job Summary
Design and deliver outbound sales, prospecting, and client service training programs for Retail Banking teams to drive behavioral outcomes and profitability. Align curriculum with sales scorecards to support deposit growth, Treasury Management adoption, and relationship expansion while transitioning staff from transactional to consultative models. Create materials reinforcing product knowledge, process accuracy, and referral behaviors, then facilitate onboarding, individual coaching, and field observations to assess skill application. Analyze performance data, learner feedback, and retention indicators to evaluate effectiveness and implement targeted interventions. Partner with leadership and product teams to ensure content reflects client-centric recommendations and market opportunities, utilizing the Learning Management System to track progress and maintain compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, education, organizational development or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail banking and/or sales enablement and training
- Demonstrated success in sales and client experience roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Prior experience with an LMS
- Proven ability to facilitate engaging training sessions and coach adults
- Ability to assess skill gaps and improve needs-based conversations, cross-sell and referral behaviors, and service recovery
- Demonstrated facilitation, coaching, and change management capabilities
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create engaging training materials and job aids
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and levels
- Willingness to travel to other locations or branches for training and attending meetings
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
