Job Summary
AVP, Retail Strategy sought to support development, coordination, and execution of enterprise retail initiatives across life insurance and annuities. The role partners with the President of Retail and senior leadership across Sales, Marketing, Intelligence & Enablement, and Strategic Accounts to identify market opportunities, translate strategy into actionable plans, and maintain accountability across teams. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional strategic initiatives from planning through execution, developing market insights, coordinating leadership rhythms, preparing executive materials, and driving alignment across stakeholders. The position requires strong strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and superior communication skills; familiarity with CRM, analytics, and project management tools, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Travel willingness is noted for Austin, TX hybrid or remote work.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in enablement, analytics, business intelligence, distribution and strategy within life insurance, annuities, or financial services
- Strong experience supporting executive-level leadership and managing cross-functional initiatives
- Proven ability to drive execution across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience in sales, distribution, or retail financial service environments preferred
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority and navigate ambiguity effectively
- Technical skills in creating executive-level presentations; proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com) and CRM/sales reporting tools preferred
