Job Summary
Senior AVP/Quantitative Researcher to join AllianceBernstein’s Systematic Fixed Income team in London. Lead the design, development, and evaluation of systematic fixed-income and credit strategies, conduct factor discovery and risk attribution, support portfolio optimization, and contribute to the alphaLabs Python-based research platform. Candidates should have an advanced degree in a quantitative field, strong Python and SQL skills, knowledge of fixed-income markets, and a data-science mindset with a bias toward rigorous backtesting and research efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong Python programming skills and deep familiarity with the Python ecosystem
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Knowledge of fixed-income securities and markets (preferred)
- Data science and machine learning skills are a strong plus
- Exposure to modern development and operations tools such as Airflow, Kubernetes (or similar) is a plus
