Job Summary
Lead actuarial modeling for the company by maintaining the cashflow projection model, overseeing model governance, and developing new modeling capabilities. You will lead a team of actuarial associates and analysts, manage testing and analysis of model results, and collaborate with Model Developers, Investments, and Capital. The role requires significant experience with actuarial modeling software (e.g., AXIS), strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to support profitability analysis, stress testing, due diligence, and ad-hoc requests. Location is Nashville, TN with hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years actuarial experience in Actuarial Liability Management or equivalent in Life & Annuity products
- Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields (preferred)
- Experience managing a small team with mentoring and development of Actuarial staff
- Qualified Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Institute of Actuaries (or equivalent) or career Associate
- Significant experience with AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with BI tools
- Ability to manage multiple resources and meet time commitments
