Job Summary
AVP, Financial Reporting responsible for overseeing US GAAP group consolidations and leading external/internal reporting, including annual US GAAP financial statements, MD&A, and presentations to Disclosure Committee, Audit Committee, Board, Investors, Banks, and Rating Agencies. Prepare financial reporting for any debt issuance; maintain and develop internal control framework related to financial and statutory reporting; collaborate with actuarial, investments, and tax teams; act as liaison with auditors; requires CPA and 7+ years of post-qualification experience in insurance; university degree in accounting/finance; strong US GAAP expertise, analytical and communication skills, ability to work at a fast pace, and independent work style. Required Qualifications
- University degree in accounting or finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- minimum of 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience within insurance
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability to work at fast pace and handle shifting priorities
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Independent working capability
- Experience in financial reporting for insurance
- Knowledge of US Statutory and Bermuda Statutory (SFS) reporting (if group controllership)
