Job Summary
AVP, Financial Reporting & Accounting responsible for DBS HK entities’ regulatory reporting to HKMA/SFC and internal head-office reporting. Oversees preparation of financial statements compliant with local accounting standards and HKMA disclosure requirements; supervises a team to ensure timely submission of regulatory returns; coordinates financial disclosure and regulatory reporting for new requirements; assesses accounting and regulatory treatment for current/new products; implements new accounting standards and regulatory changes; represents Finance in cross-bank system implementations and process changes; drives process streamlining and Gen-AI initiatives to improve efficiency and controls; manages internal and external audits and financial disclosures review; requires knowledge of banking products and related accounting/reporting, strong communication and collaboration skills. Location: One Island East, Hong Kong.
Required Qualifications
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
- Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA/ACCA)
- Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience in financial institutions or Big 4 audit
- Managerial level / supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of banking products and related accounting/regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of HKMA/SFC regulatory reporting requirements
- Knowledge of treasury and investment products (preferred)
- Good financial control framework knowledge for banks
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Experience in process streamlining and Gen-AI initiatives (advantage)
- Ability to work independently and detail-oriented
