Job Summary
Lead a high-performing team in the Insurance accounting function and expense management discipline, providing strategic financial leadership and disciplined oversight to support business performance. Partner with senior leaders to shape expense strategy, deliver actionable insights, and drive accountability for forecasting, planning, reporting, controls, and cost optimization across Retail Advice & Solutions. Own the full expense management mandate, including monthly reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis, while championing process simplification, automation, and continuous improvement to strengthen operational efficiency. Prepare executive-ready materials that translate complex financial trends into clear recommendations for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Professional accounting designation or related credential
- 10+ years of progressive experience in senior finance, accounting, expense management, or financial leadership roles
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) for Quebec
- Assets: Strong business knowledge and experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry
- Assets: Understanding of expense drivers, product economics, and financial performance management
- Assets: Experience operating in a medium to large organization with multiple divisions, functions, and lines of business
- Assets: Strong insurance product knowledge
