Job Summary
AVP-level role leading the E&S Property underwriting function in Sompo’s US operations. Drive acceptability of risk per guidelines, review applications and financial requirements, price risk using understanding of pricing components and models, and document thorough account reviews. Demonstrates advanced underwriting skills across structures (guaranteed cost, captives, SIRs, deductibles) and uses sophisticated pricing models. Attend client/broker meetings and travel as needed to market the territory; mentor Underwriting Trainees and junior underwriters. Requires extensive underwriting/insurance experience (minimum 8+ years) and a Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Roles based in Alpharetta, GA or Chicago, IL (full-time).
