AVP, Design Build Manager- Transportation & Water

Job Summary
Proactively identify program problems, analyze issues, and develop optimal approaches to mitigate risks or exploit opportunities. Manage complex, multi-location transportation and water projects from concept through delivery, ensuring final products align with scope and budget. Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate activities across departments, and establish relationships with clients, vendors, and executive leadership. Develop comprehensive program plans, oversee risk management strategies, and negotiate complex contracts with partners. Present regular status reports to management and mentor junior team members to build organizational capacity. Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Requires frequent travel to project and client sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 12+ years of related experience
- demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- 4 years of leadership experience
- State Professional Engineer License, or the ability to obtain within twelve months
- Position will require frequent travel to project and client sites
- all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- 15+ years of transportation project experience
- Experienced with Design Build delivery for final design
- Design Build Project Experience
- Experience leading and managing transportation design-build projects on large complex highway projects
- Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment
