Job Summary
The Assistant Vice President, Data Solutions Engineering will build operational data pipelines and deliver fully documented datasets. Responsibilities include delivering data solutions aligned with business needs, mentoring early career data engineers, leading the deployment of data pipelines, and ensuring data reliability, scalability, and governance. Required skills include strong ETL/ELT knowledge, experience with Cloud data operations, and domain knowledge in Actuarial, Investment, and Finance within the insurance/reinsurance industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering
- Minimum of seven years in a growing data engineering role
- At least five years of programming experience (Python) and SQL
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs, and Cloud (AWS preferred)
- Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and modern data quality techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with data integration platforms (Foundry preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
