Job Summary
Provide independent oversight of credit card portfolios through ongoing monitoring of performance, risk trends, and key indicators. Lead the independent review and challenge of CECL estimates, credit loss forecasts, and material credit decisions, establishing standards and governance practices for forecasting processes. Develop executive-level oversight reporting that synthesizes portfolio performance and emerging risks into actionable insights for senior leadership and governance committees. Support the development and enhancement of credit risk governance practices while building partnerships across first- and second-line functions to influence risk appetite and portfolio strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or quantitative discipline
- Eight (8) years of experience in consumer credit risk management or strategy
- deep expertise in non-prime credit card lending and/or CECL
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, Economics, Statistics or related field)
- Experience providing independent review, challenge, or oversight of credit strategies, forecasts, underwriting policies, portfolio management activities, or risk governance processes
- Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI or comparable analytical tools
