Job Summary
AVP, Contracting & Network Management leads development and execution of network strategies and contracting across providers (IPAs/medical groups, hospitals, direct networks) and innovative care models. Responsible for negotiating and implementing a range of contracts and reimbursement models (including capitation, per diems, case rates, and value-based arrangements), providing contract-language expertise, performing financial modeling, and leveraging market insights to drive growth and efficiency. Builds relationships with physician leaders, delivery systems, and regional teams to support successful market launches and ongoing network management; supervises staff and collaborates on training and onboarding for market network leaders; requires strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to travel nationally.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS; MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managed care or healthcare with strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies, contract language, negotiation strategies, financial modeling and analysis
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to develop and implement network strategies
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information clearly
- Ability to travel nationally 50% of the time
