AVP Consumer Loan Operations Manager

Job Summary

Lead the day-to-day administration of bridge, portfolio mortgage, secondary-market, HELOC, and construction lending activities, coordinating workflows across loan officers, processors, and external partners. Directly supervise and develop the consumer lending administration team, establish performance expectations, and create cross-training plans for backup coverage during peak periods or absences. Serve as the primary escalation resource for complex processing, documentation, and closing matters while overseeing quality control for Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures. Monitor regulatory compliance for TRID, Regulation Z, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, and Flood requirements, providing practical guidance to lenders and managing corrective action plans for identified exceptions. Administer lending platforms including LaserPro, iCore, and AccuSystems, ensuring resilient system coverage and accurate reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mortgage operations, consumer loan administration, lending compliance or a closely related banking function
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising mortgage or consumer lending operations personnel
  • Advanced working knowledge of residential mortgage, HELOC and consumer construction loan processes, including disclosures, documentation, closing, funding and post-closing administration
  • Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state lending laws and regulations, including TRID, TILA/Regulation Z, RESPA, ECOA/Regulation B, HMDA, Flood, Fair Housing, SAFE Act and related requirements
  • Experience performing or overseeing Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure quality control, HMDA data review, lending compliance monitoring and corrective action
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on production and problem-solving
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, organization, communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to interpret regulations, loan documents, procedures and non-standard transactions and translate them into practical operating guidance
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with employees, clients, auditors, regulators and vendors
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related business applications

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with construction lending and draw administration
  • Experience with Finastra LaserPro, DCI iCore, AccuSystems/AccuAccount or similar systems
  • System administration experience
