Job Summary
Senior AVP-Construction responsible for technical underwriting and account management of large account loss-sensitive casualty programs; solicits/reviews new and renewal account information, identifies exposures, assesses risk, structures loss-sensitive programs, underwrites prices, prepares proposals, and coordinates administrative duties; leads renewal and retention management; travels ~20% in the Southeast; develops relationships with producers and insureds to drive profitability; creates strategic plans for positioning Arch at producer/insured levels; has expertise across Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile coverages, loss-sensitive program design, pricing, actuarial projections, and reinsurance considerations; proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint and cross-functional collaboration; education/experience includes a Bachelor’s degree (CPCU a plus) with seven+ years underwriting experience in the Southeast.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training required
- CPCU or other similar designation a plus
- Seven plus years of loss sensitive underwriting experience, preferably including construction industry underwriting
- Established broker relationships within the Southeast Region would be ideal
