Job Summary
AVP, Client Advisor at UOB Malaysia focuses on building and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients, delivering expert financial advice and wealth-management solutions, identifying client needs, offering banking products and services, staying informed on market and regulatory developments, achieving sales targets, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with internal product specialists to provide comprehensive client solutions. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of client-relations experience in banking/wealth management, strong communication and analytical skills, ability to work both independently and in a team, and relevant certifications are a plus. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3-5 years of client relationship management in banking/financial services, wealth management or corporate banking
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, investment instruments, and banking services
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CUTE, TBE) are highly advantageous
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; other dialects a plus
