Job Summary
Lead new market and segment exploration, initiating reviews of opportunities with in-market Client Solutions Teams and establishing stage gates before transferring ownership to BAU teams. Drive large-scale cross-market product and proposition development, acting as a conduit to leverage global product work and support client workshops. Facilitate periodic reviews of Protection market strategies with Client Solutions teams and PMLCs, while collaborating with the Divisional Strategy team on global initiatives and providing Chief of Staff support to the GPEC. Ensure consistency of approach across the Line of Business and UnderwriteMe by identifying opportunities to leverage projects and reporting progress on strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to at least degree level
- Actuarial or other similar training
- Proven experience working in a life (re)insurer
- Experience in a pricing or client solutions department
- Senior level experience
- Proven track record in developing strategies and seeing them through to successful execution
- Very strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to deliver difficult/challenging messages
- Ability to quickly cut through detail and focus on what is important
- Being decisive and accountable
- Strong analytical skills
- Sound judgement and commercial awareness
- Proven ability to think outside the box to derive new and innovative approaches to underwriting and/or claims problems
- Ability and desire to communicate with business customers at all levels across the business
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Organised, conscientious, and deadline focused with an attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing demands and deal with non-standard and unstructured requests, at short notice

- Previous experience working in a life and disability reinsurance environment
- Proficiency extracting, manipulating, analysing and drawing conclusions from data
