Job Summary
Senior accounting leadership role responsible for CECL processes, GAAP/compliance, monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, call/report regulatory deliverables, and external audit coordination. Supports budgeting/forecasting, ALM and investment reporting, and process improvements. Supervises staff and collaborates across Finance and Operations to strengthen controls, reporting quality, and policy documentation. Requires strong technical accounting background, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication; CPA preferred; 7+ years of relevant banking/financial-institution experience. Based in Santa Maria, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of direct experience within a bank or credit union, specifically in accounting, controllership, financial reporting, or at a mid-to-large public accounting firm serving financial institution clients
- CPA preferred, active or in good standing
