Job Summary
Assess bereavement needs of children and develop programs to meet those needs, including support for loss from deployment, incarceration, divorce, and deportation. Plan, promote, conduct, and evaluate grief workshops in Collier County Schools while providing individual and group counseling. Serve as a resource on children's grief issues, educate staff and community members, and compile reports and statistical data. Maintain records in the EMR and Avow files, act as a liaison with community agencies, and assist social services coordinators. Participate in planning children's camps, speak on hospice programs, and cross-train for hospice coverage. Adhere to all policies and meet productivity expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
- Verification of enrollment in RCSWI through Florida Board of Clinical Social Work
- LCSW or Registered Intern for LCSW
- Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS)
- Registered Play Therapist (RPT)
- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Crowd Control Manager
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Bilingual or trilingual
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
