Job Summary
Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to define organizational priorities and develop a comprehensive strategic plan to advance the mission. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals while guiding management, board, and staff on all financial matters. Lead the planning and management of all fiscal activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, audit, payroll, and cash management. Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, providing analysis and recommendations on resource allocation and expenditure. Oversee the annual budget process, monitor actual performance, and develop financial forecasting models for long-term planning. Provide executive oversight for all information technology functions, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and contractual requirements. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team while coaching program managers to use financial data as a problem-solving tool. Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and technology vendors to ensure cost-effective service level agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance
- Eight to ten years of progressively responsible financial management experience
- 5 to 7 years of managerial experience
- Experience with DMH, DCFS, LAHSA and HSH contracts
- Experience translating strategic priorities into a comprehensive financial management strategy and tactics that support the organizational mission and objectives
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data in relation to compliance and performance metrics
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high performing teams
- Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience overseeing information technology operations, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems in nonprofit or social services environment
- Working knowledge of data privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA, and the ability to ensure organizational compliance across financial and technology systems
