Job Summary
Avionics Test Product Line Applications Engineer supporting the product management team to deliver avionics test products. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise to customers through presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and field support; developing application specifications and building prototypes to demonstrate solution feasibility; validating that product applications meet defined specifications before release; authoring application notes, user documentation, and hardware/software defect reports; troubleshooting customer issues as second-level support and coordinating with engineering; and responding to customer technical inquiries via phone and email. Required experience includes a background in military, air transport, general aviation, or MRO avionics maintenance or engineering, with working knowledge of avionics systems (communications, navigation, fuel, RF); strong written/verbal communication and technical documentation skills. Desirable is a BS in electrical/RF engineering or an technical associate degree; equivalent education/experience considered. The role is located in Lenexa, KS and involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering and development teams; VIAVI is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
