Job Summary
The Avionics Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic systems including communication, navigation, radar, and flight control systems. Responsibilities involve reading and comprehending schematics, troubleshooting electronics at the component level, and utilizing equipment like oscilloscopes and digital volt meters. Candidates should have considerable knowledge of electronic theory, experience in soldering surface mount components, and a focus on safety standards and regulatory guidelines. A General Radiotelephone Operator License with Radar Endorsement is desired but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in electronics or a related field preferred
- Graduation from a Technical School acceptable in lieu of direct experience requirement
