Job Summary
Install, inspect, modify, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair avionics and electronic systems across multiple aircraft platforms. Conduct performance checks of instrumentation to ensure continuous system performance per FAA regulations and King Aerospace policies. Interpret blueprints and schematics to install systems with minimal supervision, while verifying airworthiness of all maintenance performed. Diagnose root causes of malfunctions and align equipment to approved specifications using only calibrated tooling. Maintain comprehensive records of repairs, calibrations, and inspections, and complete all required reports and checklists. Travel on short notice as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum two years' aircraft repair and maintenance experience in the last five (5) years
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, installation drawings, regulations, and professional journals
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to management, customers, and team members
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts including percentages, proportions, and algebraic principles to technical applications
- Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in written, mathematical, or diagram form
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Ramp Pass
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work varied shifts and operate in military-access environments
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment screenings, which may include a background check and drug screening
- The ability to travel on short notice, as business needs dictate
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, outside weather conditions, electrical hazards, and potential radiation sources
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, and vibration
- The noise level in the work environment is typically loud
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and use of hands
- Regular lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
- Vision requirements may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
