Job Summary
Avionics Technician II responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of avionics systems on large cabin aircraft, including wiring, testing, and integration of systems (communication, navigation, IFEC, cabin management). Reads complex diagrams and drawings, performs fault isolation and functional checks, removes/reinstalls avionics components, supports modifications and STC installations, and documents work per FAA regulations and company procedures. Works independently with minimal supervision, coordinates with quality and production teams, emphasizes tool control, FOD prevention, safety, and mentorship of junior technicians, and may travel to support off-site maintenance and aircraft recovery operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in avionics maintenance, installation, or modification
- Strong understanding of aircraft avionics systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and schematics
- Experience working in aircraft maintenance, completions, or MRO environments
