Job Summary
Avionics Technician will repair, modify, install, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance of avionics systems. Candidates must interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, and engineering orders. Responsibilities include fabricating and routing wire harnesses, performing avionics installations, disassembly/assembly of electronic equipment, system-specific software loading, and using avionics hand tools. The role emphasizes safety, ability to follow CAD drawings and electrical schematics, and collaboration with team members. Pre-employment drug/alcohol testing and random testing are required. Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Avionics experience (schooling or work experience)
- Experience with harness making and/or modification
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of other aircraft systems (hydraulics, flight control, major components) helpful
- Proficient in using hand tools
- Ability to follow CAD drawings & electrical schematics
- Proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
