Job Summary

Design, implement, integrate, verify, and validate safety-critical avionics software throughout the complete software development life cycle. Support requirements analysis, architecture definition, and design activities while collaborating with system, hardware, and test engineers on integration and debugging. Develop technical documentation and contribute to software reviews, requirements traceability, and certification processes aligned with RTCA DO-178 standards. This role involves working within a top-tier engineering consulting firm specializing in aerospace projects, offering a tailored career path with opportunities to lead technical teams and contribute to R&D initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering
  • From < 1 up to 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for safety-critical systems
  • Knowledge of embedded software development principles
  • Knowledge of safety-critical embedded software life cycle processes
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Good knowledge of C and/or C++ programming languages
  • Knowledge of software life cycle processes and development methodologies
  • Knowledge of software design methodologies, including UML
  • Knowledge of embedded communication protocols, such as Ethernet stack, UART, SDLC, SPI, and I2C
  • Knowledge of software design principles and engineering tools
  • Knowledge of space and time partitioning concepts
  • Knowledge of safety-critical software development processes according to RTCA DO-178 standard
  • Knowledge of ARM processors and embedded software development toolchains (ARM v8 family preferred)
  • Italian (Fluent)
  • English (fluent, oral and written)

Desired Qualifications
