Job Summary
Diagnose recurring avionics malfunctions, determine repair or replacement processes, and recommend corrective actions. Install, test, modify, and repair avionics system components and test equipment while observing established safety procedures. Assign maintenance and repair functions to subordinates, supervise aircraft electrical personnel, and prepare material deficiency reports. Remove and replace batteries on all aerospace equipment systems and clean terminals and cables as applicable. Analyze technical problems in aircraft avionics operations and interpret installation and maintenance policies to correct defective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Analyze and advise on technical problems in the operation and maintenance of aircraft avionics systems and associated electronic components sub-systems test equipment
- Installs, test, modifies and repair avionics system components and test equipment
- Supervises Aircraft electrical maintenance personnel
- Repairs and clean batteries, terminals and cable, if applicable
- Remove and replaces batteries on all type aerospace equipment and systems
- Interprets installation and maintenance policies to correct defective equipment
