Job Summary
Avionics/Electrical Technician 2 position in Mesa, AZ. Provides technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to minimize schedule impact. Performs installation and functionally tests electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications; ensures defect-free installations; troubleshoots to provide timely, quality repairs; may fill in for senior technician; conducts functional and operational tests; documents work for inspection; adheres to safety and quality programs; may support aircraft certification and final phase testing; must be able to read blueprints/schematics, interpret wiring, and operate test equipment. Requires HS diploma or GED and 4 years avionics/electrical experience or equivalent schooling plus 2 years related experience; A&P license preferred; other licenses (FCC, NCATT) preferred. Travel up to 25%. Shift flexibility; multiple shifts; full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Four (4) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related experience
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
- FCC preferred
- NCATT preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
