Job Summary
Lead avionics design and certification activities across STC programs; oversee end-to-end certification efforts, develop and review wiring diagrams, EWIS analyses, installation drawings, and interface definitions; mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in avionics compliance with DO-160, EMC/EMI, and ELA, while coordinating with regulatory bodies (TCCA, FAA, EASA) and DAO governance. Requires an engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Aerospace/Avionics, 3+ years in avionics certification, P.Eng. or eligibility, experience with STC programs, and willingness to travel. Relocation support is available; in-office role based in Kelowna, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, or Avionics Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in avionics certification and system integration
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility
- Demonstrated experience with STC development and avionics certification approval processes
- Strong knowledge of TCCA airworthiness regulations and avionics compliance requirements (DO-160, system safety, EWIS)
- Experience reviewing and authoring complex technical certification documentation
- Willingness to travel as required
