Job Summary
Lead avionics wiring projects for aircraft, overseeing wiring, installation, integration, and testing of systems such as Garmin flight decks, Gogo inflight connectivity, and cabin management. Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics; perform functional checks, configuration, and verification after installation; troubleshoot electrical and data bus networks (CAN bus, ARINC 429/429, Ethernet, RF cabling); ensure compliance with OEM specifications and FAA regulations; coordinate schedules, mentor technicians in wiring, crimping, soldering, and system testing; collaborate with engineering, maintenance leadership, and OEM tech support; maintain documentation and records; require high attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to work overtime and varied shifts. Top candidates will possess leadership capabilities, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a team with other technicians, while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ years related avionics installation experience
- Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145
- A&P License/FCC License a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
