Job Summary
Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication, and high-speed data signals, selecting components, connectors, backshells, and cables while applying EMI/RFI and shielding principles. Create 3D routed harness data files using Creo Cabling and Routed System Designer (RSD), generate detail and installation drawings from 3D datasets, and develop harness support brackets and configurations. Provide technical guidance for hardware installation, support assembly and testing, and report on activity schedules to identify cost and schedule savings. Work on the New Glenn launch vehicle development with a focus on safe, repeatable spaceflight operations.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field
- 5+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry
- Experience with Creo and Windchill and Routed System Designer (RSD)
- Understanding and application of wire derating analysis
- Familiar with existing applicable harness standards: IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4
- Strong electrical/mechanical design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CREO Schematics and/or Piping
- Experience with other high-end CAD routing software such as Unigraphics NX
- Electrical and Mechanical Routing
- Knowledge of harness fabrication and installation processes
- Experience with launch vehicle or spacecraft electrical/mechanical systems
