Job Summary
Lead the delivery of complex airfield construction projects at commercial service airports in Denver, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk through project closeout. Serve as the primary client interface for contractors, regulatory agencies, and airport operations while overseeing runway, taxiway, apron, and drainage construction phasing in active environments. Direct inspection activities, review baseline schedules, and manage change orders to ensure compliance with FAA standards and operational continuity. Mentor project staff and support project controls functions including cost tracking and progress reporting. Requires 10+ years of aviation construction experience with PMP or similar certification. Full-time role with no sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
- Senior-level experience managing airfield construction programs at commercial service airports
- Progressive experience managing aviation construction projects, with direct involvement in airfield construction within active airport environments
- Proven experience serving as a project or construction manager on complex, multi-stakeholder aviation projects
- Demonstrated experience with runway, taxiway, and apron construction phasing in operational airfields
- Strong understanding of FAA airfield construction standards, airport operational requirements, and safety protocols
- Experience managing contractor claims, change management, and schedule recovery on aviation projects
- CCM, PMP, or similar professional certification
- Experience working with large airport capital improvement programs
