Job Summary
Aviation Security Guards responsible for restricting access to airport areas, performing screenings with x-ray and magnetometer tools, conducting vehicle inspections, issuing permits, patrolling terminals and perimeters, and responding to incidents. Must meet education and licensing requirements (high school diploma or GED, pass TSA/SIDA/background checks), possess a valid driver's license, and have 3-6 months of prior security experience. Strong English communication, customer service, and physical fitness are essential to perform foot patrols, access control duties, and maintain airport security operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Driver's license
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to pass airport background check for SIDA badge
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to meet state/local licensing requirements for Aviation Security Guards where applicable
- Minimum 3-6 months of prior security experience
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) and effective communication
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- Physical ability to stand/walk for entire shift, lift 25 lbs, climb into vehicle, bend, stoop, crouch
