Job Summary
Lead aviation design and construction projects as Project Manager for a civil engineering-focused aviation team. Responsibilities include scope development and execution, project schedules and resource management, QA/QC reviews, preparing cost estimates, fees, contracts, plans, CSPP, construction management plans, and participating in business development. Mentoring project staff; coordinating with clients, FAA and state/government agencies; performing QA/QC; supporting onsite project engineer on construction projects. Travel required. Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and PE license (GA) with at least 8 years of experience; proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field from an accredited school or college
- At least 8 years of relevant experience
- PE required with ability to obtain in GA
- Leading aviation design projects
- Serving as the project manager on aviation projects
- Mentoring and leading engineering project teams
- Preparing scope of work, fees, contracts, plans, specifications, CSPP, construction management plans and/or cost estimates
- Performing QA/QC reviews
- Serving as Project Engineer on construction projects
- Performing business development activities
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
