Job Summary
The Aviation Project Engineer will focus on complex local airport agency and private client projects, ensuring design responsibility for pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security, and fuel facilities. Responsibilities include project design calculations, quality control reviews, compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, and cost estimates. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage teams, organize technical meetings, and provide occasional field construction observation. Strong communication and advanced CADD skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- P.E. license or planning to obtain license in near future
- Experience with FAA design standards
- Advanced use of CADD
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to perform complex analysis and design
- Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
