Job Summary
Develop airport master plans, statewide system plans, and on-call aviation planning services by conducting data collection, analysis, and technical reporting for airports and seaports. Support project delivery through initial data gathering, needs identification, goals setting, strategy development, cost estimating, and creating technical documentation and presentations. Collaborate with multiple project managers and team members while directly interfacing with clients to manage production and serve as a trusted advisor. This role requires 5+ years of aviation planning experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency in GIS and graphic software. Based in Kimley-Horn's Fort Lauderdale office, the position offers a robust benefits package including a 2-to-1 retirement match and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience as an aviation planner
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field
- Strong writing/verbal skills
- Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Working knowledge of GIS/ArcView
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- This is not a remote position
Desired Qualifications
- PE or AICP Certification preferred
