Job Summary
Deliver instruction to students in classroom and lab settings while preparing syllabi, lesson plans, and program goals. Demonstrate appropriate teaching techniques, manage testing and grading procedures, and maintain accurate grade books and records. Evaluate student progress toward objectives and complete all required reports, records, and invoices. Maintain current qualifications per TCSG Policy Manual and accreditation standards, including professional development training. Attend meetings with students and college personnel to discuss instructional programs. Follow approved course syllabus and rules and regulations. Position may involve teaching traditional day and/or evening classes, online classes, and travel within the college's service area.
Required Qualifications
- Earned Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology or closely related field from an academic institution that is accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education
- Holds a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License
- Documented one year full-time work experience in the teaching discipline
- Earned High School Diploma or Equivalent with demonstrated competence in the teaching discipline to include documented full-time work experience in field
- Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology or closely related field from an academic institution that is accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education
- Documented post-secondary teaching experience
