Job Summary
The Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructor is responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality instruction in accordance with the college's curriculum, engaging in student support and academic advising, and participating in program improvement processes. A proactive approach to fostering a positive learning environment and utilizing diverse teaching methodologies is essential. The instructor must ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and regulatory standards while assessing student learning outcomes. Required qualifications include an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification, an associate degree or higher preferred, and proficiency in relevant technology.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Valid teaching certification (if applicable).
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience, education, and/or training in current practices of the subject.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and any software required for course delivery.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates without a degree may be considered if they have at least five years of relevant work experience, or a combination of education and experience.
