Job Summary

Perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins. Verify part numbers and serial numbers during component installation or removal, and request aviation parts to maintain operational inventory. Actively participate in the Safety Management System continuous improvement phase and mentor mechanics through on-the-job training. Troubleshoot problems for outlying mechanics and advise the Pilot in Command of maintenance issues affecting aircraft serviceability. Provide timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires FAA A&P license, Inspection Authorization preferred, and five years of related experience. Located in the Northeast Region with 100% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Five (5) years' related experience and/or training
  • FAA A&P License in good standing
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • 100% travel
  • Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337's, Service Bulletins, AD's, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • RAMCO experience preferred
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
  • FAR 135 operations preferred
  • EC135 or EC145 experience
  • Avionics strong A&P mechanic with rotor experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • Knowledge of Air Methods' policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Knowledge of applicable maintenance manuals
  • Familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Refined vibration-balancing
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Valid driver's license
