Job Summary

Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations on Bell 429 aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Verify part numbers and serial numbers during component installation or removal, and ensure all maintenance documentation complies with applicable manuals and Air Methods policies. Actively participate in the Safety Management System continuous improvement phase and advise the Pilot in Command of any issues requiring aircraft grounding. Request aviation parts to maintain inventory for operational readiness and maintain a clean work area. Provide timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays with 25-50% travel time. Requires 2-5 years of helicopter maintenance experience, an active FAA A&P license, and familiarity with Ramco ERP.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 to 5 years' helicopter maintenance experience
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred
  • active/current A&P
  • FAR 135 operations
  • Electrical troubleshooting and refined vibration-balancing
  • Sheet metal and composite repair procedures
  • Ability to read and understand various documents such as 337's, Service Bulletins, AD's, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
  • Ability to learn and utilize the Company's ERP system (Ramco)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to apply creativity and problem solving skills in troubleshooting work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • RAMCO experience
  • FAA A&P License in good standing
  • Provide timely on call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 25 – 50%
  • Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives
  • Must live within an hour of the base

Desired Qualifications
